Best Answer

Suboxone is used to treat opiate addiction.

Suboxone contains a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone.

Buprenorphine is an opioid medication. Buprenorphine is similar to other opioids such as morphine, codeine, and heroin however, it produces less euphoric ("high") effects and therefore may be easier to stop taking.

Naloxone blocks the effects of opioids such as morphine, codeine, and heroin.

a drug used to treat opiate addicts.

Suboxone is also being used to treat chronic pain with much success.

It's the drug you take when you need to cut your opiate habit.
being a opiate blocker it blocks for about 8 or 24 hours depending on how much you take, breaking it into quarters or taking the whole thing. withdrawls are worst your first 2-4 days of not using should get easier after that. if talking subs continously for weeks back to back you can withdrawl from subs too. don't abuse whats givin.. so subs can help from opiate withdrawl but if you take a suboxene - putting it under your tonge and letting it disolve - and try to use pills, sniffing smoking anything, its a waste , you wont feel anything.. well i know that's the point , to feel nothing . :) but it wont effect you until time has passed and it leaves your system. this can show up as a opiate in a urine test if being tested for opiates not in a general u a. subs work. !!!! they can put you unblanced tho, making you very depressed, fyi.
It's medicaiion for heroin/opiate addiction.

Suboxone is a prescription medication used in treating those addicted to Opioids, illegal or prescription. It contains the ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone. Buprenorphine, a partial opioid agonist, blocks the Opiate receptors and reduces a person’s urges. The second ingredient, Naloxone, helps reverse the effects of Opioids. Together, these drugs work to prevent withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid addiction.
