What is intensive care for a newborn and how much is it?

Answer:

Intensive care for a newborn is a special care nursery where only immediate family members are allowed access to the baby. Either the baby was born prematurely or developed complications that need to be monitored. According to my doctor when there was a threat my son would be born too early & require the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), it would cost 7 times more a day than the baby being in the regular nursery & my private room.
