To say, "What's up?" in Spanish is to say, "Qué onda?" It's a hip sort of a "how's it goin'/what's happenin'?" question.
Que tal/que tal estás/que onda ese/que onda raza/que onda tio. It depends if you're talking to a Spaniard or a Latin American. I guess the first one is the safest to use if you speak no Spanish at...
