Most of Germany is propserous, though there are some pockets of relative poverty especially in the former East Germany. In recent years unemployment has been high.
Contrary to a widespread misconception in America, Germany is not the most propserous country in Europe in terms of annual income per head. The Scandinavian countries and Switzerland are more prosperous.
Germany has a good education system, which is certainly much better than the American and British school systems.
