I've never heard of having pinkish/brown discharge due to ovulation. However, I have heard of having faint spotting at implantation when you become pregnant. Have you been sexually active since your last period? If you have had unprotected sex since your last period, you should probably take a test in about 2 weeks. If not, I wouldn't worry about a little bit of discharge unless it continues or is bothersome. In that case, you should call or see your doctor. Take care. Answer Yes! Tat's wat happened to me. My LMP started 24th Feb. It started with a little blood streaks in my cm on 4th Mar evening. On 5th Mar, I had brown discharge whenever I wiped. On 6th Mar, the brown discharge continued. So, I called my gynae clinic to book an appt. The head nurse asked me what I want to see my gynae for. I told her about my case and she suspected UTI or fibroids and asked me not to continue trying for the night. I was worried. When I reached home tat nite (6th Mar), I saw more discharge : this time brownish red and with some lumps of tissues. I thought it could be my menses coming but feeling weird coz' it is just 12th day from my LMP. Just before I took my bath, I saw more reddish brown tissue discharge and dried up fluid marks on my panty liner. I grew more worried. But the next morning, after my gynae checked me, he said I have ovulated last nite and asked me to hurry home to try, since the egg will survive 24 hours. I was kinda shocked coz' this is the first time I have ovulation sign like this! If I knew earlier, I would have "started work" the moment I see the first stains! Nevertheless, when you have this brownish discharge, please see your gynae to rule out possibilities of infections or others.

If it is literally pink, I might call your OB/GYN However...2 weeks after your period is when you ovulate and this normally causes a change in the consistency of your discharge. Personally, I've never had discharge that I would have described as pink, but it sounds like ovulation might be related to what's going on with you.

Pink discharge is spotting and there can be many reasons for this.

Spotting can be a result of ovulation mid-cycle, also if you have a hormonal imbalance you may see a little spotting mid-cycle. Spotting can be caused by certain STD's so if you are sexually active it's important you get regular STD screening and practice safer sex. Spotting can also occur if you've had any sort of vaginal damage, for example rough sex or masturbation.

It's the blood. The reason for it looking brown/pink is because you haven't had your period in a while (1 hour or so). It also means your period is about to end for the month.

What is the difference between a period and implantation bleeding?

Hi, *Period: - A period is a normal period, normal flow for you around the time you expect your period to arrive. You can not be pregnant and have a normal period. A period signifies that no egg has been fertilised and the egg breaks down and causes the period. * Implantation Bleeding: - Implantation Bleeding occurs 8-12 days after unprotected sex when the egg has been fertilised by the sperm. Not every woman experiences implantation bleeding and it is not as common as many people believe. When implantation bleeding occurs its usually spotting of blood or light bleeding which lasts a few hours to 2 (sometimes 3) days. Implantation bleeding can be: * Light bleeding in underwear. * Bleeding not requiring a pad or tampon. * Bleeding or streaks of blood on tissue paper when you wipe. * Pinkish bleeding which is light. * Brown bleeding which is light. * Discoloured pinkish, redish or brownish vaginal discharge.

Should you be worried if you had brown discharge after regular period that was on time?

Brownish discharge can mean different things. It could be a sign of ovulation. it could also be a false menstrual cycle in which your body did not release an egg but still rids itself of blood leftover from the last heavier period. It could also mean that you may be pregnant. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor. But you can also start tracking your fertility as an added comfort. It requires taking your waking temp. and noticing your vaginal discharge. You can get a great book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, MPH. I have found it to be very helpful in educating myself about my female anatomy.

Does a brown thick slimy discharge the day after your period mean you have an infection?

Normally, no. It's natural to get that before (sometimes) and after your period. It's like a marker for the beginning and end. However, if it is excessive or lasts for a long time, I would see your doctor. :)

How do you know when it is safe to let your female dog around others after she has been in heat?

Wait at least two weeks after the discharge stops. The heat period lasts approximately three weeks, but she'll only have a discharge during the first week. For safety sake, it is best to wait three weeks after the discharge stops just to be sure.
