What is love?

Answer:

Love is Love, but here are the complicated versions...

Answer

Love is taking your time and not hurrying to find someone to love you. You must first love yourself. There are many forms of love and they way you feel for a family member is different then when you meet that someone, but it all has to be UNCONDITIONALLY. It is feeling special, being a better person with that person rather than without that person. It is being truthful with yourself and what you want out of life. it is about sacrifices being made. Putting someones needs before your own needs. Going the extra mile for someone, caring, spending time together. You don't have to be joined at the hip to know that you are loved-you just know. That person is so hard to be upset at and when you are upset, You can argue at still glance at them and think WOW or you both laugh or smirk and it's over no hard feelings. It is just being in the same room together that makes you melt. It is about knowing the differences and accepting them. In your eye's that person is great to you. It is the best gift to receive from another human being. Take your time. I used to think the same thing and wondered just like you. There are good guys out there, but for the time being - Date, Date, Date, and find what YOU are looking for. When you least expect it, it will happen for you. but remember, it is a strong feeling that your gut will show you and only you will know how you feel. this is LOVE!

Answer

Unfortunately for all the poets out there love is merely chemical. Regular sex with a person will eventually develop into love. This is a reaction that was beneficial for our early ancestors, the desire to stick with a person helped women get pregnant, helped men ensure that his woman was his to pass his seed onto and that women were well taken care of while they were pregnant.
When in love with a person by merely seeing them or a picture of them your brain will release "endorphins" making you happier

Answer

The above post is lust and infatuation they are speaking of.
Love is when you care about someone else more than you care about yourself. It means you would rather make them happy than make yourself happy.

Answer

Love is when you care about someone else to the same degree that you care about yourself, not more, not less, but the same. If you love yourself, then you care about your own well-being and you won't allow anyone to disrespect you under no circumstances whatsoever. Moreover, love is definitely CONDITIONAL. To consider love as being unconditional means that you have no set boundaries and will put up with whatever someone does to you no matter how hurtful or disrespectful it is to you. This is not love, this is called low self-esteem.

Answer

I quite agree with the previous thoughts on love being CONDITIONAL. Definitely. God did not put us here to be other peoples' doormats and these is a limit to what you should be tolerating in a loving relationship. I think human to human love is better for both individuals if it is CONDITIONAL. The only unconditional love comes for God our Creator and Saviour. He will love you no matter what, He will forgive you no matter what. Humans practising UNCONDITIONAL love could be self-destructive, but at the same time, it could open the heart to levels of operation beyond human comprehension. Love is from God. It cannot exist in the midst of evil, dishonesty and deceit - so abusive, unfaithful and such relationships can not maintain love.

Love is a magical thing it feels great .but it is the closest thing to magic to human kind
Answer. Love is a sort of deep desire for someone. When you finally are dating that person you are completely consumed by them. If that person ever leaves you you feel depressed and miserable. Eventually you find love-maybe even greater than before-with a person. Love is what makes everyone feel good and makes the world go 'round.

Answer

Love is thousands of things to thousands of people. For some people, love is everything, without love they have nothing. But the types of love are different, causing grief to some people, and happiness for others.
Love contradicts it self too, some say love is blind...yet others experience love at first sight?
Love is different for everyone, depending on the situation. Love can be between friends, family members and between those we long to be with, but for some reason cant. Love affects everyone differently, but one thing is for sure, for some reason, everyone feels the need to be loved and to love, everyone is looking for love, and hoping that one day, they will find someone they love...and hopefully they will love them back.
Love makes us secure, most have been taught to love, and love gives you a sense of belonging.
It is something we, as a society, expect to experience..and hope to.
You know what love is when you discover a huge hole in you when your partner has died.

Answer

I believe in love as something that comes once in a lifetime, maybe even twice. Anyway, love is when you want what's best for them, not you. You want to do everything for them, and make them happy, despite what it does to you and your life. Many people mistake infatuation for love, because they seem similar. Infatuation is when you want them to be happy, but you too. You want them to like you back. Many people get married over infatuation, but many of those same people get divorced. A huge difference between love and infatuation is that infatuation dies. Love stays forever. I could go more in-depth, but... maybe some other time.

A Love Theory:
In the beginning, there was only God, and God was the all and the eternal.
And God was alone.
After eons of infinite loneliness, God imagined man.
In all created beings there is loneliness (emptiness) and there is the capacity to be fulfilled (filled).
According to the Bible, God made man in His image. We know, therefore, that God's capacity for loneliness is within each of us. We can feel it. Sometimes overwhelmingly. And we know, too, that God gave us to each other, just as He gave us to Himself, with freedom to think and to feel emotions, as He thinks and feels emotions.
Love is what fulfills loneliness, and this is true no matter what each individual believes or doesn't believe about the existence of God.
