Coloraturas have a range of approximately - or around - middle C to a "high F". They specialize in music that is distinguished by agile runs and leaps. The term coloratura refers to the elaborate ornamentation of the melody, which is a typical component of the music written for this voice. A lyric coloratura soprano is a type of soprano with a very light, agile voice and has high upper extension, capable of fast coloratura. Dramatic coloratura sopranos have a more sustained, stronger sound.
The very basic differences are, but it must be remembered that like many things in music they can overlap - Dramatic soprano - A dramatic soprano is an operatic soprano with a powerful, rich, emotive voice that can sing over, or cut through, a full orchestra. Coloratura soprano - A coloratura soprano is a type of operatic soprano who specializes in music that is distinguished by agile runs and leaps. The link below will provide further detail.
She`s a very soulful dramatic (coloratura) soprano, because she`s got a very big and heavy voice, but she is also very high and agile. Other dramatic sopranos are Jill Scott or June AndersonA light coloratura soprano has a girlish timbre and is also called a coloratura soubrette like Patricia Petibon or also Mini Riperton. There are also lyric coloratura sopranos like Lisa Miskovsky or Natalie Dessay.
I would say definitely, especially if they are a fuller lyric coloratura. Have you watched on youtube Diana Damrau's interpretation? It's incredible, and she's truly a full lyric coloratura, not a dramatic coloratura (which makes it kind of funny that she's probably the best Queen of the Night and Constanze there's been, with them both being dramatic coloratura parts). Now a lighter lyric coloratura could sing it, supposedly Natalie Dessay sang it years ago, but it wouldn't have the same effect because, as you are aware, it's harder for them to sustain more dramatic sections.
I would say she's an Contralto with a five octave vocal range or a Coloratura Contralto. You are making a huge mistake by classifying her as a Contralto. She may have the lower register notes that Cher does but she is not comfortable in the lower register. She is best heard in the whistle register. She can make phrases and words in the whistle register and easy sings a C7 and well above effortlessly. Her whistle register sounds exactly like a flute or piccolo. She is a Dramatic Coloratura Soprano. A Dramatic Coloratura Soprano has the agility, flexibility and range of a Piccolo Coloratura Soprano but the power and the lower register of a Dramatic Soprano, which to the untrained ear sounds like a Contralto.
I will say that she is an coloratura contralto which means she can sing as low as most altos and as high as most sopranos. so yes she is capable of singing soprano.

Soprano range: The soprano is the highest female voice. The typical soprano voice lies between middle C (C4) and "high C"(C6). The low extreme for sopranos is roughly B3 or A3 (just below middle C).[6] Most soprano roles do not extend above "high C" although there are several standard soprano roles that call for D6 or D-flat6. At the highest extreme, some coloratura soprano roles may reach from F6 to A6 (the F to A above "high C").[7] Soprano tessitura: The tessitura of the soprano voice lies higher than all the other female voices. In particular, the coloratura soprano has the highest tessitura of all the soprano sub-types.[3] Soprano sub-types: As with all voice categories, sopranos are often divided into different sub-categories based on range, vocal color or timbre, the weight of voice, and dexterity of the voice. These sub-categories include: Coloratura soprano, Soubrette, Lyric soprano, Spinto, and Dramatic soprano.[3]
