What is manga?

Lots of people like to cosplay as an anime or manga character/person. There are many types of manga and anime. There are also lots of company's that sell anime or manga in stores or online, all over the world. This all started in Japan though, and it is basically where the first manga was created. The first anime show created in Japan would most likely be Astro Boy. But then came many more types and all of them have either become, shows, graphic novels, or sometimes even games, and more. There are many types of manga in the world and many different companies that represent these manga/anime. For example there is Shojo Beat and also Shonen Jump. Shojo in Japanese means girl, and Shonen means boy. Shojo Beat magazine has manga that girls like that mostly deal with romance and etc. While Shonen Jump magazine deals with mostly boy things such as action and killing and etc. But both are very wonderful magazines. Theres also many more of these types of magazines such as New Type USA, and Anime Insider, etc. They all show/have many manga and there all very wonderful when it comes to telling manga fans about many different shows, cosplay, and amazing items for sale.
