None of Mario's parents were ever revealed, but you can see shillouettes of Mario & luigi's parents after defeating the final boss in Yoshi's island SNES or for Gameboy advance.
Because Mario's landlord's name was also Mario so he probably wanted the video game character to be named after himself. Sonic is better than Mario! :D
