The Communion of Saints refers to all of those who have died but have gained eternal life in Heaven. We as humans cannot determine who is and is not in the Communion of Saints.

Do Catholics worship saints?

Catholics worship only God. However, we venerate, or honor, saints and, in doing so, honor their Creator. This is little different from honoring George Washington or Abraham Lincoln or other historical figures. Catholics believe in the Communion of Saints and the Mystical Body of Christ which includes all saints, living and dead, who are united spiritually.

What are some ways Catholics disagree with Christians?

Well Catholics are Christians. Some ways they disagree with Protestants are: 1.Catholics believe you get to heaven by baptism plus faith plus works. Protestants believe you get to heaven by faith alone. 2.Catholics believe Communion is really Jesus. Protestants believe Communion is just a memorial of Jesus. However there are some Protestants that believe Communion almost like the Catholics. Lutherans for example. 3.Catholics honor saints. Protestants do not. These are some differeces. What is the significance of Eucharist for catholics?

A core doctrine for Catholics is transubstantiation, which holds that at the moment of consecration the host becomes the actual body of Our Lord Jesus Christ. So for a Catholic receiving the Eucharist is a physical union with the Body of the Redeemer, a true Communion (communion originally meant a joining together of two things previously distinct).

How does baptism relate to the Communion of Saints?

The Communion of Saints consists of all the baptized Christians on earth (the Church Militant), the baptized in purgatory (The Church Suffering), and those in heaven (The Church Triumphant). One enters the Communion of Saints through the Sacraments of Initiation which consists of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. Baptism is the initial entry into the Communion of Saints.

Why do Church of England churches let Catholics take communion?

The Church of England allows Catholics, and I presume others, to receive communion out of a "spirit of Ecumenism." Whilst they allow this, a Catholic should not partake of communion with any "church" which is not in communion with Rome; as to do so, is an explicit consent to the believes and teachings of said "church." Please see the link below for a full explanation as to why it is wrong for Catholics to receive communion in a Church not in communion with Rome.

What are two of the reasons for the decline of communion on Russia?

If you meant the question as written, communion decreased in Russia for two major reasons. One, Russia has a majority of Eastern Orthodox adherents and although they do perform communion, such communion is unrecognized by Catholics which could lead to the perception that communions have declined. Two, under communism, the various Churches were banned and people who were faithful took communion in secret. Many, however, gave up the practice. If you actually meant "communism" instead of "communion", the answer is "perestroika" (economic liberalization) and "glasnost" (personal/social freedoms).
