What is meant by a broiler chicken?

Answer:

Broiler chicken are hybrid chickens used only for meat. They live for about 1,5 months (on large farms usually), and their only purpose is to eat and grow. When they are big enough they are slaughtered and sent to the local market. Since that is industrial production, their meat is hardly as good as the one of a chicken raised the old fashion way.
