Mass is typically measured on a weighing device, such as a scale or balance. Volume is measured in a flask, beaker or other type of container.

However since:

M=mass, D=density, V=volume. M=DV

So if you know the density you can weigh the object and determine it's volume. Or you can measure the volume to determine the mass.

No. Density is measured in grams per cubic centimeter, sometimes written as grams per milliliter.

Will an object with a volume of 77 grams per cubic centimeter and a mass of 65 grams float are sink?

Volume cannot be measured in "grams per cubic centimeter". So the question, as stated makes no sense at all. Please check and resubmit.

This characteristic is called density.

Formula for density?

Mass divided by volume. In SI units, density can be measured in kilograms per cubic meter , or grams per cubic centimeter.
