I did some research on the matter since I didn't know either. First off a Buddhists Monks and Nuns robes are different depending on the climate of the area. So hot areas have less fabric than cold areas. Secondly a Nuns robe is different than a Monks robe. So there is no standard Buddhist robe.
It appears that there is no single name for a Buddhist robe, the word used is different in every language but is simply that countries word for Robe.
In the Catholic Church, monk's entire outfit is called his habit. The robe is called a tunic, over which may be a scapular and a cowl. Pictures here.
