Oasis2Service appears to be installed by Sony with its Vaio messenger program. It apparently allows Sony to send you hints and tips on using your laptop. When I uninstalled the program, the Oasis2Service was removed as well.
Here is the description of the program and a link to Sonys site on it.
VAIO Messenger is a software utility that provides hints and tips about using your VAIO® computer. It also offers optional accessories that are compatible with your computer and available for purchase.
VAIO Messenger can be uninstalled through the operating system and can only be reinstalled by performing a C: Drive recovery or a full system recovery.
Oasis2Service is developed by DDNI and is used by 5245 users of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 1.0. The name of the program executable file is notepad.exe
Digital Delivery Networks (DDNi) is a PC user experience company that provides software, infrastructure and digital marketing opportunities to personal computer (PC) companies, distribution partners and retailers.
DDNi represents a shift in how users experience their PC from the first time they power on their machine, through system upgrades, enhancements and entertainment to the eventual purchase of the next computer years down the road. DDNi provides a software infrastructure to empower end-users to build a personalized interaction with their PCs, which improves the end-user experience and increases their satisfaction.
Oasis2Service.exe in a system folder or Oasis2Service1.0 (as seen in Program and Features - Uninstall window) is a program used by Sony on their VAIO laptops.
It is a messaging service Sony laptops use to access Sony LTD.
It is not a virus or malware, but some of Sony's installed programs depend on it. Essentially it is not crucial to the Windows operating system and if removed will not affect the laptop, but some of Sony's programs may not work as a result.
In the Uninstall window, when you single click the program Oasis2Service 1.0, it shows at the bottom panel of the window a link saying it is a DDNI product which makes Oasis2Service. Sony confirms that this company is an authorized sales provider for Sony ( see - http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=C1016148&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_KNOWLEDGEARTICLES_1_1&dialogID=489598944&stateId=1%200%20489614255 )
