In the movie "National Treasure: Book of Secrets", the referred to page 47, but never said what was on it. They may reveal that in a future sequel. A person close to the movie, Jon Turteltaub, joked, "I'll tell you, what is on page 47 is I think the single greatest secret in America today… which is… the plot of Star Trek!"

That's a pretty boring section, really. Just some details on dress and appearance protocols for when re-negotiating with the Xindol for more of their advanced flight technology, thanking them for the cancer cure they gave us or begging them for their star drive secrets.

As decided in the fifties at the signing of the Roswell Convention, the negotiators for humanity must be dressed in the same style suits as were worn by J. Edgar Hoover's FBI agents back then. You see, the Xindol have trouble telling alien races apart, and as that's what they first saw us wearing, to see us in anything else makes them think that we aren't really human. So every President since has had to have such an outfit for when he meets with them.

Page 47 specifically goes over the shade of black for the suit and pants, the amount of starch for the shirt, and how to tie the tie knot in the modified Windsor that was really just a result of Hoover's men not knowing how to tie it right.

It is rumored that Nixon tied his tie correctly once, and that this is why we've not been allowed back to the moon since.

I don't know if there is a book of secrets that the Presidents keep hidden from the public but after seeing the movie i went on the hunt for the 3 ladys (The Statue of Liberty) and I have only found 2 of them in my life time the 1st one is as every knows is on Liberty Island [Near Ellis Island] in New York and the 2nd one is in Paris and after a long hard study of the Statue of Liberty in Paris I did found an inscription at the highest point of the torch there is also another inscription in the same place on the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island in New York but they are both in latin and i can't read latin, but i did found the same Presidential seal (as in the movie) at the base of the Statue of Liberty is Paris so there must be some truth to the Presidential book of secrets.

i have a book from the library of congress letter p ok i look where it has a list of presidents and 14 blanked out spots 4 presidents apart hmmm there is something wrong i wonder is there are more president that we don't even know about that could be one of the clues that our nation is not telling us. i have watched the movie, national treasure and i have to say that it as excellent. but there is a lot of things that leave us in suspense, which is the president's secret book. im from south Africa so i can't just walk into the library of congress and look for it but what i can say is that maybe the presidents do have a book, maybe it's not a secret or maybe it is but those documents and writings were written for the president to know about what had happened in the past. i think there is a book which they keep, the library is used as a place to keep us occupied, but they keep it for themselves to know how each president did somethings, know what happened. i don't think the book would be dated aback to the time mentioned because then, it wouldn;t have remained a secret for so long. the only way to find the truth is obviously to become president. nothing is impossible.

OR - you could also be referring to the top secret intelligence papers and the briefing that the President receives daily from the nation's intelligence agencies.

If I knew, it would not be a secret. Seriously the president is briefed on top secret security matters, including the hot line to Russia and undercover operations. I doubt that this information would be put into a book which could be stolen or copied.
