The pentecostal religion is about, living life accordingly to The Bible. The pentecostal religion agree's with everything in the bible, no picking and choosing. Acts 2:30-36 clearly states salvation: Then peter said unto them; Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remmission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:36: For the the promise is unto you and and children and as many afar off as the Lord our God shall call. Also many people think that cutting hair is not going to mess up their salvation, that's false. A man shall not have long hair and a woman shall not have sheared/cut hair. This all stems from when Lucifer, once an angel, tried to take over. He was in charge of beauty, he was very powerfull. When God locked him in hell, all the glory that was taken from Lucifer was placed on the womans head, as her hair. A womans hair is her glory. When a woman shears/cuts her hair she is giving glory to Lucifer/Satan. That is a form of worshiping Satan. Which if a person worships Satan then they are idoling him and not God. (It's in the Ten Commandments: Thou shalt not worship any false Gods.) Which is a sin and no sin shall make it to heaven. If you have sinned you are not lost forever, all you must do is ask God for forgivness, and he will write you in the Book of Life.

The Pentecostal religion believes in the Holy Trinity is three in one. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Salvation by faith. Pentecostalism is often marked by the seeking to be Baptized in Holy Spirit.

There is no such thing as "Pentecostal religion." The religion that a Pentecostal is part of is called, Christianity.

The majority of Pentecostalism holds to the same core essential ideas as other Christian denominations. Pentecostalism usually traces itself to the Azusa Street Revival in 1906, Bonnie Brae, Los Angeles, the minister being William Seymour. In fact the convicting power of the Holy Spirit was moving in that time period, such as the Welsh Revival in 1904, (Evan Reberts, and Rees Howells). Before the 1906 Azusa Street Revival the teaching held by Charles Finney, D.L. Moody, and R.A. Torrey was that a person could be "born again" and not have the Holy Spirit. This secondary, subsequent, and additional experience to salvation, and what every "born again" believer should know whether they have or not is theologically called, "The Baptism with the Holy Spirit." (See What the Bible Teaches by R.A. Torrey, and The Baptism of the Holy Spirit by R.A. Torrey, also read Charles Finney's conversion experience about the Baptisms of the Holy Spirit coming upon him.)

What makes Pentecostalism different on the idea of The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the belief and practice that one of the major evidences of The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, from the Book of Acts, is Speaking in Tongues. Speaking in Tongues is also described by Pentecostals as the prayer language of the Spirit. The interpretation that Speaking in Tongues is the evidence of The Baptism of the Holy Spirit comes from Acts 2 - The Disciples Receive the Baptism With the Holy Spirit Acts 8 - The Samaritans Receive the Baptism With the Holy Spirit Acts 10 - The Gentiles Receive the Baptism With the Holy Spirit, Acts 19 - The Church of Ephesus Receive the Baptism With the Holy Spirit, and from 1 Corinthians 12-14.

I believe Mark 16:15-18 sums it up best. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

We just believe in what the bible says. You have to repent, be baptized, and filled with the Holy Ghost or you cannot enter into Heaven. (Acts 2:38) NO cursing, drinking alcohol, smoking that kind of thing. There is only one God. Father, Son and Holyghost are all one. Women and girls wear skirts. Guys wear pants and keep short hair. Girls have long hair.

Firstly, Pentecostals are not a separate religion. Pentecostalism is a form of Christianity. Therefore, Pentecostals are identified firstly Christians, not as Pentecostals. The term "Pentecostal" comes from the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2 when the promised Holy Spirit was poured out on the original disciples. The two things that distinguish Pentecostals from other Christians are generally- * The belief that the activity of the Holy Spirit in the believer begins with salvation (the "infilling with the Holy Spirit") but may continue with an experience of empowering ("the baptism in the Spirit") which is evident by a God-given phenomena known as "tongues" ("glossalalia"). The belief that the Holy Spirit can still administer the spiritual gifts of 1 Corinthians 12 today through His people (tongues, interpretation, prophecy, healing, word of wisdom, word of knowledge, discerning of spirits, faith, and miracles). Pentecostals are distinguished from Charismatics over the first of these two points. Charismatics accept the second point but not the first point. Therefore, while there are entire denominations which are identified as "Pentecostal", the largest of these is the Assemblies of God, there are some denominations that have within them congregations which embrace the second point of Pentecostalism are usually identified as being "Charismatic". Pentecostals are generally characterised by vibrant faith, aggressive evangelism, bright worship services, prayer for the sick, the laying on of hands to impart spiritual blessing, the acknowledgment of demonic activity and the occasional need for unbelievers to be "delivered" from demons. 1. We do believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost (speaking in tongues.)

2. Every now and then we take a praise break.

3. We believe in laying hands and the holy spirit coming in to heal, deliver, and set free.

4. We also believe in women preachers.

Pentecost is not the only denomination that believes in this; Apostolic, C.O.G.I.C (Church of God in Christ,) and some baptist. There are many types of baptist but only some are basically pentecostal. Ex. If you go to YouTube and look up Bishop Wm. Darryl Scott Sr. you'll find that he is the senior pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is Virginia Beach, VA and his church is basically pentecostal. Another thing is when a church is non-denomination, Ex. World Harvest Church, Columbus, OH. Pastor Rod Parsley is my favorite pastor, when we went for campmeeting 2010 my sister told me that his church is non-denom. but the fire of God is all over that place. That church is very diverse and me and my family love it. Every time we go, if they crank it up with the shouting music my mom is dancing with the power of God. Miracles have happened in that place, mom has been going to that church ever since she was pregnant with me and I'm 12. I remember when we were up there and Pastor Donnie McClurkin was preaching in the morning service, my mom said she was going to the bathroom. While she was gone the music started up and when i saw her again she and this other lady were holding hands shouting to the Lord. But enough about World Harvest, like i was saying those are some facts about pentecost.
