The relation between the energy (E) of a photon and the frequency (v) of its associated electromagnetic wave is called the Planck relation or the Planck--Einstein equation:

E = hv

h is the Planck constant which as a value of about 6.626 * 10-34 J*s (a very very small number)

Max Planck assumed that the radiation energy is emitted in discrete packets called quanta rather than in a continuous way. The energy E of the quantum is related to the frequency ν by E = hν. The quantity h, now known as the Planck constant, is a universal constant with the approximate value of 6.626 X 10^-34 Js

1. Energy is emmitted

from a body due to the vibration of other atoms or sub atomic paricles.

2. No body can absorb or radiate energy contagiously they absorb or radiate in specific amount called (Photon or Quanta)

3. the energy of each Quanta is given by the relation

(E=hu)

where E=Energy

U=frequency

of radiation And H=plank's

constant=(6.625x10p-27) ergs sec.

4. Least amount of energy may be one Quanta or it's integral multiple as hu,2hu,3hu etc. but they are never be in fraction.

What was Christiaan Huygens' wave theory of light?

Christian Huygens' was one of the first to suggest that light was a wave. His theory, the wave theory of light, stated this, it was opposed by Newton's idea that light was a particle. More recently, scientists such as Thomas Young and Max Planck proved this theory with experiments. So, simply put, the wave theory states that light is a wave, which, as far as we know, is correct.
