Semen is created in multiple complex steps. Is is formed by the seminal vesicle in a mans pelvic area, the sperm mixes with different fluids in the body and this helps the semen to transport to the genital ducts. It is then modified by reabsorbing more fluid making the semen more thin and liquid like. Then the semen enters the ductus epididymis it then is allowed to be ejaculated through the males organisms.

It is the "job" of the testicles to produce sperm, it takes roughly 90 days from start to finish - so be sure to remember that when you want to start a family - to achieve the healthiest sperm possible - eat well, reduce your caffeine intake, refrain from cigarettes, alcohol and any illicit drugs - reduce stress in your life and switch to boxer shorts if you normally wear tighty - whiteys, as the body heat produced by keeping the testes snug against your body will lower your sperm count.

During the process of ejaculation, sperm passes through the ejaculatory ducts and into the urethra, it mixes with fluids produced in the seminal vesicles, the prostate, and the bulbourethral glands to form the semen.

These fluids are comprised of hormones, sugar, neutralizer for the urethra, lubricant and even an agent that will thin out a clumping factor to give sperm better better access to the ova after waiting in the in the female reproductive tract.

During the process of ejaculation, sperm passes through the ejaculatory ducts and mixes with fluids from the seminal vesicles, the prostate, and the bulbourethral glands to form the semen. The seminal vesicles produce a yellowish viscous fluid rich in fructose and other substances that makes up about 70% of human semen. The prostatic secretion, influenced by dihydrotestosterone, is a whitish (sometimes clear), thin fluid containing proteolytic enzymes, citric acid, acid phosphatase and lipids. The bulbourethral glands secrete a clear secretion into the lumen of the urethra to lubricate it.

Sertoli cells, which nurture and support developing spermatocytes, secrete a fluid into seminiferous tubules that helps transport sperm to the genital ducts. The ductuli efferentes possess cuboidal cells with microvilli and lysosomal granules that modify the ductal fluid by reabsorbing some fluid. Once the semen enters the ductus epididymis the principle cells, which contain pinocytotic vesselsindicating fluid reabsorption, secrete glycerophosphocholine which most likely inhibits premature capacitation. The accessory genital ducts, the seminal vesicle, prostate glands, and the bulbourethral glands, produce most of the seminal fluid.

Seminal plasma of humans contains a complex range of organic and inorganic constituents.
