I am not sure if you are speaking of Sjögren's Syndrome or of Scleroderma.

Scleroderma is the 'new' term as Shogun was used by a very select few YEARS ago. Scleroderma is a disease that affects the skin in the vast majority of cases but can involved the vessels, muscles, connective tissue and some organs.

Sjögren's (pronounced like shogun) Syndrome is an autoimmune disease that tends to appear after the age of 40. It is the body attacking secretion glands of the body (dermal and oral mostly). It is similar to Rheumatoid arthritis.
