Saint Sofia was an early Christian who had three daughters named Faith, Hope and Charity. She was forced to watch as each one was martyred. Sofia was found dead three days later on the tomb of her children, dead of a broken heart.
There are a lot of st. Sofias. The one im most familiar with is the mother of sts. Faith hope and charity. Her daughters were martyered around the year 130 (according to tradition). Faith is believed to have been 12. Hope 10 and Charity 9. St. Sofia was found dead at their tomb later after watching her children suffer.
