Soring is an ILLEGAL practice!. Before it was made illegal (because it is inhumane) it was done to hurt the horses feet to make them travel differently. TW are supposed to nod when doing a good running walk. A horse that has been sored nods a lot more because it is actually LAME. DO NOT DO THIS! IT IS IMMORAL AD ILLEGAL both in a horse show sense and as a criminal procecution.
