Steaming in when you use steam from simmering/ boiling water to cook food on the hob. It takes longer than cooking the ingredients normally but the food tastes better. You have one larger pan on the bottom, this is to be filled with water. You then place another pan on top (this one should have holes in the base), you normally buy them in sets so the pan should fit perfectly. Place the food you want to steam in the top pan and wait for it to cook.
