All of the pins on one end of the cable connect to the same pin numbers on the other end of the cable, hence, the wire goes "straight through" from one end of the cable to the other.
For example, pin 1 on one end of the cable is connected to pin 1 on the other end of the cable, etc.
1. straigth cable are more effective than the crossover cable....
a router to a switch
switch port to router port
You need to use a straight type of connection. 568A or 568B depending which type your network is using.
Use a straight through cable, just as you would with a hub or switch.
is it a straight ethernet or a crossover? i am using a Motorola SURFboard SB5120. You'll only need a straight ethernet cable for that.
For a straight-through cable connection, I use diagrams such as: http://www.beginnercode.com/wp-content/imgupload/cat5e_T568B_Wiring_Diagram.gif
Cable not so much but you have to be careful with the internet
a patch cable is aslo called a straight-through cable
Yes, as long as you have a HDMI connection on your cable box - just connect it to the TV HDMI input.
You need wireless connection if you do not want to use a modem to connect your computer to the internet.
we used cross over cable ,coz cross over cable has two ends one end for tranmitting data and one end for receiving data ,thats why cross over used in peer to peer data connection.
