The value of gold is not determined by a hallmark but the amount of gold within the jewelry. There should be another symbol showing 10K, 14K, 18K, or 24K on the item. These number represent the amount of gold in carets of the item and by law they have to be listed. If it doesn't have this it is most likely not gold but a base metal with a gold overlay. If it is the value is nil. Take your item to a jeweler to determine it's value.

It's a piece of costume jewellery, 777 is the maker's logo, the 777 chain company. I believe they were in business a few decades ago but their chains were quite convincing. I have 2 of them that I bought the in a silver job lot. The seller refunded me for the weight of them. They're a sort of muted gold, aren't they, very heavy, substantial chains for costume.
