Are you sure you did not mean. "Setup"? 1 Hit ENTER at this screen to set up Windows XP

Depending on your XP edition, a licence agreement screen may appear. 2 Hit the F8 key on your keyboard to accept if it does.

IF your system already has Windows XP in it, this screen may show. 3 Hit ESC to continue installing XP.

Now we get to the formatting part. What we need to do here is to delete the C Drive if it exists. This will erase all data in the C Drive so be sure before you proceed! If there is only "unpartitioned space" listed, skip the next step.

A warning like this may appear when you attempt to delete the C partition. 4 Go ahead and delete it. And we get an unpartitioned space to install to! 5 Select the drive and hit ENTER to install XP!

6 Choose to "Format the partition using the NTFS file system (Quick)" in the next screen that appears. And the setup procedure starts copying files. All the remaining steps should be automatic. I'm thinking there are 6 steps!

List the options in the windows 9xMe startup menu and give a short description of each Which option appears for windows 95 but not for windows 98 and why?

The original version of windows 95 had 7 startup menu items The 7th being boot to your previous version of dos This would let you boot back to dos 6.2 or windows 3.1 By running copies of the startup files that were saved when you upgraded to windows 95 1. Normal 2. Logger (/BOOTLOG.TXT) 3. Safe mode 4. Step-by-step confirmation 5. Command prompt only 6. Safe mode command prompt only 7. Previous version of MS-DOS 1, start windows normally 2, start windows normally, but log each step taken 3, start windows with a minimal set of drivers 4, start windows, with windows pausing and asking about each step 5, do not start windows, but instead just start dos 6, do not start windows, just start dos, but do not load any drivers 7, Bypass your new system files, and load your old system files, dos 6.1 or windows 3.1 etc With the coming of windows 95 b, and its introduction of fat 32 the 7th menu item was removed, because if you were running fat 32 your old system files from dos 6.2 etc would not run

Starting from the bottom: Whole step, whole step, half step, whole step, whole step, whole step, half step. The best way to think of it is all whole steps except for between the 3rd and 4th notes and the 7th and 8th notes.

Full form of 7 in Windows 7?

It is the 7th version of Windows. Windows Version List: Windows 1.0 Windows 2.0 Windows 3.0 (NT was code versioned Windows 3.1, so gets shoved here) All Windows 9x versions count as Windows 4.0 Windows 2000 was Windows 5.0 (with XP being 5.1) Vista is Windows 6.0 7, while technically Windows 6.1, is seen as so significant a release that they regard it as Windows 7.0. http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/windowsvista/archive/2008/10/14/why-7.aspx
