According to Salary.com, which offers a comprehensive list of almost any job and its corresponding salary, the U.S. median pay for a cardiothoracic surgeon, before taxes and deductions, is $416,876. However, as I stated, this website is quite comprehensive. So, if you would like to find an answer specific to a particular city in the United States, go to http://swz.salary.com and search "Cardiothoracic Surgeon". Hope that helps!

t
they make close to 3500 to 450000 dollars a year but only full time cardiothoracic surgeons do.

Salaries vary depending on location and experience as well as particular expertises.

Various answers:

  • From a heart surgeon: on average .5 million dollars a year after taxes.
  • Cardiologist - median expected salary: around $202,000
  • In the UK, a heart cardiothoracic surgeon: between £200000 and £400000 ($325000)
  • heard of heart surgeons making 1.5 million annually, some making 500,000 depending on how much effort and time put in

  • Entering about $151,000. Max paid about $900,000
  • Average annual salary over $400,000. Range of $260,000-$800,000 depending on geographical locations.
