Depends per series. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series uses the COT (Car Of Tomorrow but now referred to Car Of Today). Dodge makes the Charger, Ford makes the Fusion, Toyota makes the Camry, and Chevy is using the Impala. NASCAR Nationwide Series uses older models of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Chevy uses the Monte Carlo SS, Ford uses an older model of the Fusion, and the Mustang, Toyota with an older Camry, and Dodge with an older Charger. NASCAR Craftsmen Truck Series uses, well...trucks. We have the Chevy Silverado, Ford F-150, and Toyota Tundra.
Nascar's car of tomorrow is a new car that ran 16 races in 2007 and will run full-time next year. It is supposed to make nascar safer and more challenging, while also saving teams $$$$$. Jeff24 17:15, 21 Nov 2007 (UTC)
new car nascar applied, ran its 1st race in Bristol in march in 2007, has a splitter in front, wing to replace spoiler, its more bulky, the chasses is 3 inches more over from the window out, taller, doesnt cost as much as the old cars, it will go full time in 2008.

Yes, nascars have a starter.

It depends on the type of race car, Indi cars are much lower then Nascars. And it also depends on the sanctioning bodies, and their rules for various classes and types of racing, be more specific with the type of car and its category. (with a wing or without)
