If you like the magic, friendship, and danger of Harry Potter, then you may enjoy this first book in the Charlie Bone series. It is a REALLY good book.
The eight charlie bone book...
In the 8th Charlie Bone book titled, "Charlie Bone and the Shadow," the story begins with Charlie going into a painting. In the painting he finds his ansecestor, Otus the giant. (The painting takes place in Badlock) I foget what happens excactly next. All I remember is that Dagbert get's angry at Tancred, and floods the artroom. Emma Tolly, comes to try to help Tancred. She get's Tancred's father, known as the, "Thunder Man," to help. He carries a dead Tancred away, back to home. (You don't hear much about Tancred until the end) Another big event is, that the painting Charlie goes into in the begining, Billy goes into as well. Billy meets his ansecestor, who turns out to be Count Harken. Count Harken persaudes Billy to stay, and it works. So Billy stays in the painting. Charlie tries to rescue Billy, and get him out of the painting, but when he goes, he finds out that the painting was no longer in the original place, which was the basement. So Charlie, along with some friends, try to get the painting back, and get Billy out of the painting as soon as possible. The painting is found with Mrs. Chystal, Fairy Tilpin, Joshua's Mom, or whatever you call her. Charlie Bone's friend's mom(Benjamin's mum) tries to steal the painting, but is caught, and she runs away luckily. Finally, Charlie adventually get's into the picture, and finds Billy in Badlock. The only problem is, Billy doesn't want to leave. So Charlie, who is very diappointed, leaves Badlock. At the end, Uncle Paton (Charlie's Uncle) takes Charlie to a party with all of his friends. You find out in the very last sentence that Tancred is alive.
The story leaves some cliffhangers, so therefore, there must a next story. I hope this gave you enough information. Thank you, and I hope that you read the book! I can't write every little detail, so I left some things out. Bye!!!!!
