A photographer is anyone who wields a camera - you, me, Auntie Sadie etc. A photojournalist uses a camera to record social phenomena or attitudes, or as a tool to put forward a political point of view.

A photograph is a picture, the image itself, and it is also a verb describing what is done to obtain the image. A photographer is someone who makes the exposure and photograph.

Photojournalism implies a connection with the Press- magazines or Newspapers- the more modern Digital camera of vanguard service here. Photography is an art form in its own right- Gina Lollobrigida is a commercial photographer, but not, strictly speaking a photojournalist. Newspaper photographers such as the fictional Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen could be classed as Photojournalists as they work for the papers.
