netstat -a -o -n
in command prompt.
2) find the PID number for that port number
3) goto task manager and end process the corresponding PID number.

AnswerTHE DOS command is netstat -a.
In DOS command type ipconfig and press enter the port number would be displayed
There is nothing called DOS applet..

i think this function is not available in ms dos . you can access the .txt files through dos and you can also able to print them through dos. if you are going to just open doc file than simply open dos drag and drop that file to ms- dos window after that hit enter and it will open.
If you are talking of DOS OS, no it is not possible as DOS is a single user, single tasking OS but if you are talking of Windows then yes you can open multiple DOS windows and do different work.. But please remember that this is the properties of Windows, not DOS..
