C12H22O11 (sugar) + H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) → 12 C (carbon) + 11 H2O (water) + mixture water and acid C12H22O11 (sugar) + H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) → 12 C (carbon) + 11 H2O (water) + mixture water and acid
Sulfuric Acid doesn't actually react with sugar. It dehyrates the sugar molecules; i.e. it removes the Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms which then bond to form Water H2O molecules (in the form of steam, since a lot of heat is released too). Carbon is left behind. For Sucrose sugar, the equation is C12H22O11 ---> 11H2O + 12C
Well, you need another reactant for sulfuric acid to react with. Sulfuric acid by itself will just sit there. Now, add a metal, like magnesium, and that will give you a reaction. Acids react with most metals to produce a salt and hydrogen gas. Magnesium and sulfuric acid react according to this equation:
H2SO4 + Mg --> MgSO4 + H2
As you can see, the products are magnesium sulfate (commonly known as Epsom salt) and hydrogen gas.
The chemical formula is c12h22o11 for table sugar or c6h12o2 for plant sugar.
C6H12O6
Glucose is C6H1206
Sulfuric acid is H2SO4
H2so4
The sugar The sugar turns into its constituents. Sugar is made up of carbon and water. So when the sugar is heated, it turns into carbon and oxygen.The equation can be:-Sugar==>Carbon+Water
SugarGlucose is a sugar monosaccharide (monomer): C6H12O6Table sugar (sucrose) is C12H22O11There are lots of sugars (monosaccharides, disaccharides, polysaccarhides). Glucose is one of the most important carbohydrates because it is used in cell respiration. All carbohydrates including sucrose are hydrolyzed in digestion - broken down to glucose. The splitting and transformation of glucose is what powers ATP production, which in turn supports cell activities.
Heating sugar is a thermal decomposition reaction; a chemical equation is not suitable. The resulting substances are water, carbon dioxide and caramel (a complex material). Continuing the heating of caramel lead also to water and carbon dioxide.
It is a carbohydrate... a Disaccharide. Example: sucrose
The balanced equation is: C_12 H_22 O_11 (aq)+H_2O(l)------------>4C_2 H_5 OH(aq)+4CO_2(g)
When sugar is decomposed, carbon is left. Therefore, the balanced equation would be C12H22O11 -> 12C+11H2O
carbon dioxide + water ---> sugar + oxygen
Sugar + Plaque = Acid + Tooth = Decay
CO2
The process is called Photosynthesis.
4.2 grams approximately in 1 Teaspoon of sugar. 25/4.2 = 5.95 Teaspoons of sugar in 25 grams.
They both use the same things but photosynthesis's products are what respiration starts with like respirtion needs oxgyen and glucose or sugar and photosynthesis is what give the oxgyen and glucose (sugar).
Because in the equation for photosynthesis carbon dioxide + water + light = sugar + oxygen so sugar collects in tomatoes through photosynthesis
carbon dioxide + water -> oxygen + glucose (sugar)
The summary equation is the formula equation. Sugar equals alcohol plus carbon dioxide. The formula is C6H12O6 which equals 2 CH3CH2OH plus 2 CO2.
