University admission or college admission is the process through which students enter tertiary at universities and colleges. Systems vary widely from country to country, and sometimes from institution to institution.

In many countries, prospective university students apply for admission during their last year of highschool or community college. In some countries, there are independent organizations or government agencies to centralize the administration of standardized admission exams and the processing of applications.

The middle fifty percent of students admitted to the University of Pennsylvania (class of 2012) have a composite ACT score between 31-34. That is, the 25th to 75th percentile is from 31 to 34. However, that is not to say that if your composite score is less than 31 that you will not be admitted, nor that if your composite score is above 34 that you will be guaranteed admission. Many other factors are considered when the university reviews applications and decides to whom they will offer admission.
