The Gobi Desert is in Asia, more specifically Northwestern China and Southern Mongolia. It is earth's fifth largest desert, and is quite cold due to being predominantly located on a high plateau, in the rain shadow of the Himalayas. It is a native habitat of bactrian camels, which are the kind that have two humps.


The first ever recorded dinosaur egg fossils were found in the Gobi Desert.
