You may want to check with the local health department and see if they (or the state) has any restrictions concerning the resale of a mattress. Some mattresses have to be fumigated and resealed in plastic to meet federal standards to limit the passing on of bodily fluids, dust mites, bed bugs and any other parasite which may live in the used mattress.
