The best market research goes on right in your store, by testing and measuring new items constantly. testing isn't just bringing a dozen pieces and then noticing when they are gone, it's tracking sales on a daily basis to understand how customers are responding. In addition, it's important to be continually shopping both your direct and indirect competition, not to critique them, but to learn what's working for them.
