In the context that a parish serves a particular congregation or group of local members, the nearest equivalent in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("Mormon church") is called "a unit".
The larger of these units is usually called "a ward".
If its membership size, however, is small, it is generally referred to as "a branch". Some can be so small as to actually be called, "dependent branches", where the Priesthood leadership and direction for the branch is actually dependent upon a nearby larger unit.
Various local wards or units when combined with other nearby units comprise an organized "stake", which is presided over by a stake president, and is highly organized. This arrangement might be closer to the Roman Catholic 'diocese'.
