It is a river in southeast Australia, that passes through New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. It begins in the Great Dividing Range and ends at the Murray Mouth near Goolwa, South Australia. It is the primary source of water for regions surrounding it, and many irrigators rely on it. Currently, in 2007, it is at a record low level due to the drought in 2006 throughout the catchment area.
