  • The death of any child is most difficult and the parents and their family in mourning are privately grieving and other than paying one's respects by sending a sympathy card and perhaps flowers or donating to a charity of the parent's choice there is nothing more friends can do but just be there for any support that may be asked of them.

  • This is such a sad event. You could take prepared meals over to the family, but don't stay for a visit unless invited in. Send flowers and a card stating that you are always there if the family should need anything. Watch for the obituary and try to go to the funeral if possible. Grief as you know is a lonely path for those left behind and just being there whenever your neighbors need you is the best you can do.
