The college was founded in July 1958 with support from [[Shanghai Second Medical College]] and [[Anhui Medical College]]. In August 1968, the Anhui Revolutionary Commission renamed it "Bengbu Anti-Revisionism Medical College". In November 1970, the Revolutionary Commission decided to merge four medical colleges in Anhui into one "Anhui Medical College". Thus it became Anhui Medical College, Bengbu Campus. In June 1974, the [State Council of the People's Republic of China|State Council]approved the college resumed the name "Bengbu Medical College".

''Foreign Studnet Program''

Foreign student intake started in 2007 without any proper aproval from the Ministry Of Education or from W.H.O. The Foreign student program is running as a private owned system, totally under Mr. Pervaiz Iqbal.

''Reported Suicide Cases''

About 4 Suicide cases have been reported by Pakistani Students. Badar Ali & Mariam Nasir told the authorities that they were mentally tortured by the director of admission to either pay him fines or to get expelled form the college.

''Faculty''

In 2006 there're 514 teachers including 37 Professors, 138 Associate Professors, 216 Lecturers. The college has 13 Top Talents of the Education Department of the Province and 38 Backbone Teachers of the province. 50 teachers enjoy the special subsidy of the State Council or the Provincial Government. More than 200 teachers have been honored by the Ministry, the Province or above for their prominent contribution. The college has 1 representative of the National and Provincial Congress respectively. The college is still struggling to provide teachers for foreign students, but due to lack of recognition form WHO and form the Ministry of education China to run foreign program most of the teachers are not taking interest to go there. The college is deciding to cancel the privated contract between the college and Pervaiz Iqbal so that they can handle everything as deciden by the Dean of college.

''Total Number of Students''

At present BBMC has 8846 students, 7 majors for regular courses such as Clinical Medicine (including Mental Health Medicine), Laboratory Medicine, Nursing, Medical Imaging, Pharmacology, Preventive Medicine and Biology, and 5 majors for junior courses. The college nowoffers 34 postgraduate Specialities such as Human Anatomy , Histology, Embryology,Immunology, Pathogenic Biology, Pharmacology, Pathology and Pathophysiology, Clinical Laboratory Diagnosis, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, etc. In year 2006 there are 242 postgraduate students.

In 2007 about 117 foreign student were admitted to the college. But due to lack of teaching staff, non-approval form the Chinese to attend labs and reported very bad behaviour of Director of admissions(Mr.Pervaiz Iqbal)towards the students, many students have left the college. At present about 70 foreign students are studying in BBMC.

''On Going Confrontation Between the Chinese and Pervaiz Iqbal''

BBMC foreign student program is running privately under the direct authority of Pervaiz Iqbal with out any opinions form the College itself. This caused a big spark, especially when behaviour of Pervaiz and his way of running BBMC foreign student program was reproted to Ministry of Education and to the Pakistani Embessy, by a large group of students personally.

Since then the college dean and the related authorities are trying to take the foreign student program under their own personal controle so that the program should run according to the rules and regulation of Ministy Of Education China.

Well after passing 18 months here. We have come up with the following summary of College.

1) There is a proper curriculum of the college.

2) Everything is under pervaiz iqbal and the Chinese administration.

3) There is proper curriculum according to Chinese rules.

and after facing a lot of wonders of life we are free from 3 semesters and are students of 4th semester.
