What is the Tibetan Plateau?

[Edit]

Answer

The Tibetan Plateau is a large, elevated region in Central Asia. It lies mainly within China and covers all the Tibet Autonomous Region and much of Qinghai province, that's where its name came from. It has an average elevation of over 5000 meters and contains the world's tallest mountain range, the Himalayas, as well as Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain, hence known as "the roof of the world".
