So, bottom line, be wary of the AAS degree. It's a good degree as long as its owner can use it to further his/her career (since most AAS degrees are very career-oriented), and if s/he never plans to go on and get a bachelors; but if a bachelors degree might ever be in his/her future, then s/he really needs to get an AA or AS instead of an AAS.
