ddr3 can achive much higher clock rates than ddr2. the highest possible clock speed of ddr2 is 1333MHz while there are already 1800MHz ddr3 sticks being produced. also ddr3 can support twice as much capacity per stick than ddr2. Answer DDR3 in several significant ways: * Higher bandwidth due to increased clock rate * Reduced power consumption due to 90mm fabrication technology * Pre-fetch buffer is doubled to 8 bits to further increase performance
Speed. It can be processed a lot quicker. DDR2 is found on most computers today but DDR3 is becoming faster. Because of this, it determines what hard ware components are compatible with a specific type of memory. For example, a DDR3 hard drive won't work with a computer based on a DDR2 system. This can be good or bad though newer products, the better products, are DDR3.
I'm confusing myself. I hope that made sense.

No. SDRAM and DDR SDRAM are not compatible with each other.
function of sdram
Physical size of the memory card. Mobile sdram is smaller than sdram for desktops.
No. SDR SDRAM and DDR SDRAM modules are not interchangeable.
No.
Sdram has one notch. Depending upon the model of Sdram the number of pins it has can vary but a standard Sdram has 184 pins.
