The main advantage to anaerobic respiration is that, unlike aerobic respiration which releases energy all at once, anaerobic respiration releases energy in short outbursts when necessary. (when muscle cells can't get enough oxygen) Therefore, your energy lasts a lot longer.

Advantages and disadvantages of anaerobic respiration?

An advantage of anaerobic respiration is that it does not need oxygen. A disadvantage is that only small amounts of energy are produced.

What are the advantages if any of anaerobic respiration?

The only advantage of anaerobic respiration is that it releases energy at intervals. This is unlike aerobic respiration which will emit all energy at once.

What is anaerobic respiration and give two examples of anaerobic respiration?

the mode of respiration in the absence of air ,more precisely oxygen is called anaerobic respiration. eg:-yeasts

What are the types of respiration?

two types of respiration are aerobic respiration and anaerobic

What are two advantages of anaerbic respiration?

Aerobic and anaerobic respiration each have advantages under specific conditions. Aerobic respiration produces far more ATP, but risks exposure to oxygen toxicity.Anaerobic respiration is less energy-efficient, but allows survival in habitats which lack oxygen.

What are the two types of anaerobic respiration?

anaerobic respiration is also called fermentation. The two types are lactic acid fermentation and alcoholic fermentation.

What is the difference between the two types of respiration?

Aerobic respiration and Anaerobic Respiration. Aerobic is respiring in the presence of oxygen Anaerobic is respiring in the absence of oxygen

What are the five compounds associated with anaerobic respiration?

There are dozens of compounds associated with anaerobic respiration; two of these are pyruvate and lactic acid.

What does 'anaerobic respiration is far less efficient than aerobic respiration' mean?

There are two types of cellular respiration: aerobic and anaerobic. Aerobic respiration occurs when there is oxygen present. In total, 36 ATP are produced by the end of aerobic respiration. Anaerobic respiration occurs when there is no oxygen present. In total, just 4 ATP are produced by the end of anaerobic respiration. Thus, aerobic respiration is more efficient in comparison to anaerobic respiration as it yields more ATP

What is the name of the process of resperation that does not require oxygen?

anaerobic respiration there is also fermentation, which is like anaerobic respiration but does not have an electron transport chain
