It depends on who the child is sharing a room with. A child really wants their own spacearound 8 or 9, but if you have a 6 year old girl sharing a room with her 13 year old stepbrother, that could be a problem. Each situation is different. Usually the child will let you know.

Depends on if the parent is a make or female.

Mom can share a room with her son until he is 3 years old, but she can share a room with her daughter until she is 5 years old.

Dad can share a room with his daughter until she is 3, but can share a room with his son until he is 5.

There's no age limit. It depends on the child's personality and maturity. She might want to share a bedroom with her parents until she's 12 due to nightmares, phobias, fears, etc.

I think that an adult child should have their own space and be able to think for themselves, but what if the father does not want to suspend this for the time being will their be hurt down the long term!
