What the apocalypse is
The greek word apocalypse is best translated to "revelation". An apocalypse is the name og the genre that where popular between 200 BC an 100 AD. This genre is usually written under a pseudonym, and has a rich picture language.
The apocalypse referes to the Revelation of John, the last book in the Bible. This book is a mixture of the genres letters, apocalypse and prophesy. It is usually interpreted to describe the last days. Even thoug it is possible to interpret it in many different ways.
