What is the area of one ton of grain?

Answer

Whatever grain you are referring to, please

1.weigh in pounds exactly 1 cft of the same. (1'x1'x1'= 1 cft)

2.Note the weight. Now divide 1 ton (in pounds) by this.

3.You will get a figure which is in cubic foot.

4.Please estimate whatever height you would like to have for the heap. It is in foot.

5.Divide the cubic foot figure with this.

6.You will get area required in sq. ft.

You can do the same exercise in metric if you wish.

When you say 1 ton, there are 4 definitions. Maybe you should mention it clearly.
