COLOR! the element of art is color!
Source light is light coming directly from a light source/emitter (i.e. a light bulb, the sun, stars, etc.). Reflected light is light coming indirectly from the light source/emitter. That could be reflected, refracted light, etc.

The three primary colours in painting are Red, Yellow & Blue. The secondary colours are the result of a mixture of two of the primary colours: Red & Blue - Purple; Red & Yellow - Orange; and Blue & Yellow - Green.

to use ur eyes wow really -.-..... Light emitted by the Sun is reflected to Earth by the Moon's surface.
When light goes through a spectrum, the waves are split into different colors, or spectra. The colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. That way, you can distinguish what type of light or element is is by counting the number of each type of color.
spectrum...
A spectrum is what it is called when an element burns and produce light. The spectrum of an element is based on what orbit the electrons are in and what energy level the electrons are at.
Color
The difference between continuous spectrum and the atomic emission espectrum of an element is that in emission spectrum, only certain specific frequencies of light are emitted while in a continuous spectrum, a continuous range of colors are seen in the visible light.
Some light in the green area of the visible spectrum is reflected back to the observer while light in the rest of the visible spectrum is mostly absorbed.
the mineral's "color"
Light?
Green means that the object in question absorbs all of the light in the visible spectrum except for green which is reflected. Brown means that the object in question absorbs all of the light in the visible spectrum except for brown which is reflected.
When light hits an object, some of the light spectrum is absorbed and some is reflected. The colour you see is the reflected light. The rest is absorbed. For example a red T shirt will absorb all the colours in the light spectrum a nd reflect red. Black absorbes all light and reflects non hence darkness and white is the reflection of the full spectrum. Orange is a blended reflection of Yellow and red.
Chlorophyll reflects the green portion of the visible light spectrum, this is why most plants appear green in color
All of the electromagnetic spectrum can be reflected. White light is a combination of all colors. They all reflect, red is among them.
