While the annual amount varies considerably every year, as well as throughout the state , the average Snow fall near the south coast of Rhode Island is 25-30 inches, 35 or so in Providence, and 50-60 in the North and Northwest parts of the state where there is higher elevation and less marine influence.
Usually the first snowfall is in late November early December.
