It is difficult to find an average income for a college graduate because it can vary widely by degree. According to one online source, here are average annual salary ranges for men and women who have a Bachelor's Degree:

women: $37,000-$65,000

men: $45,000-$83,000

See sources and related links, further down this page, for more information.

How much does college cost? This question is tricky because it depends on the college you will be attending, as well as when you will be attending.

Private vs. Public

The tuition at private colleges is more than double the tuition of a public college. According to the College Board, the cost of a year's tuition, plus room and board, averaged $29,026 in 2005 for private colleges and $12,127 for public colleges.

It doesn't matter is you will be attending a private school or a public school, the cost of tuition goes up every year. Many financial experts estimate that the cost of college will increase at approximately 6 percent each year over the next ten years. This means that the average cost of attending a private college will go from $29,026 per year to $49,581 by 2015.

Financial Aid

Just thinking about the rising costs of college tuition is enough to make your head spin. Before worrying that you will never be able to afford a year's worth of college tuition, let alone four years, consider these two words: financial aid.

Financial aid is available to those who need it. And, the good news is that there is a lot of it. Grants, scholarships, student loans, and work study programs, will help to cover the cost of college. All you have to do is educate yourself in regards to how aid works and how you can get it.

That totally depends on the degree you are holding. As in if it's of Computer related, Business, law, medicine, engineering related degree. Engineers have highly paid jobs. But Businessmen can earn more if they know how to handle the business. If you are freshman, you are not gonna get a job right away. Getting a job, for a freshman, is not that easy. There is a lot of competition in the market. You have to have 3 years experience. For that experience, try to get internships (spell?) and try finding jobs at "unknown" and "Not famous" companies. They will pay you for lowly but you will get experience and once you have, at least, 3 years of experience, you can go apply at any company you want. But beware! They need work! If you know how to do your thing, you will be most likely let in. But if you are not as professional as others, they will prefer someone else on you. That's how it is. So, make yourself best of all and get a lot of experience and don't go out looking for $5000 per month job right away. Start from the low and go up. Good Luck!

There are no standard tuition and fee rates for colleges and universities. Each institution will have rates particular to itself. There are a number of variables to consider to include whether the institution is public or private, the geographical location, the specific program of study (some of which have greater course and/or clinical fees), and whether the school is a two year or four year institution. Once you collect the names of some colleges and universities you have an interest in, you can then research the cost specific to those institutions.
