I charge $60 for the front and back of a door. Two coats.
Doors are not time consuming and are finished quickly. Painting is time consuming in closets and on ceilings. Prep is 80% of the work, painting is 20% in my opinion. This estimate is based on a door that doesn not require heavy prep.

A solid door is best to use. Brown, white or beige are good colors to use because you can use almost any paint color to go over the door.There are many items that you can use on your headboard after you clean and sand the door. The first step is to measure the door so that you know how much material to use on the door. Get enough trim to go along all of the edges on the front of the door. You need to make sure all of the edges of the door and the trim are smooth before you paint. An electric sander works best so that you can cover a large area in a short amount of time. Wipe the door with a damp rag to remove any dust before you begin painting.In order to save time when you start painting, select a paint that has a primer already in it. Use a paint that has little to no VOC. Use a brush for the small details of the trim and a roller for the smooth areas on the door. You can add a second coat of paint if necessary. After the door is dry, use finishing nails to add the trim. If your door has interior panels, it will make it easier to add the fabric. If your door is a solid piece, then you can space the fabric out on the door. Use a spray adhesive to place pieces of foam on the panels of the door. Add a piece of cotton on top of the foam, and then place your fabric on top of the cotton. Fold the edges of the fabric down and staple them to the door. Fold the corners last so that you have a neat corner on the panel. Fabric glue can be used to add a fabric trim to each panel to hide the staples.
